Did a photoshoot today. Found a cornfield, setup the camera with a flash and the tripod. Played with RAW a bit. I wish the clouds were out but I got some decent shots anyway.
This is HDR of 3 exposures from the same RAW file. I used Photoshop CS3 to process the HDR. I still need practice - any help would be appreciated. I tried processing the HDR in Photomatix as well but it looked like crap. So I'll stick with PS for now.
Nice. I think the corn is stalking you. Or at the very least listening in on your conversation. That's the worst place to make a phone call, you know, because there are so many ears around.
I could go on...lol
Seriously, though, I like how the corn vs. sky turned out. You almost look a tad overexposed, though. Maybe that's just me. Well done!

You should be a comedian. Ok, I'm a terrible liar, but thanks for the comment.
I had a different vision for the composition but I couldn't find where the corn was positioned correctly to match. This, along with the other shots, turned out pretty well anyway and I'm please. It was my first attempt at outdoor, daylight flash and it worked relatively well. There is a bit of overexposure on the sun-side of my face but I think it adds to the photo rather than detracting.
Oh, gee, thanks. That really helped my self esteem a ton!
Don't you hate it when things turn out like that? You picture them one way and they end up going a totally different direction just because of what is or isn't available. You pulled off a nice save, though. The overexposure almost matches the lighting in the rest of the shot, so it's not too bad. Not bad at all.

Thanks. I wasn't too sure about the colors at first. A bit more saturation was my initial idea but after tweaking the RAW file and playing with HDR it came out like this. I decided to like it anyway
To be honest, you could have created an almost identical image with your camera. It's all in the Photoshop.

This makes me really wish I had more control over what my camera can do; as it stands I have to live vicariously through you.
